Kathleen is an avid gardener, enjoys nature and a holistic approach to health and life. In recent years, she has expanded into teaching workshops and classes in resin art, wood burning, pastels and water colors. Prior to developing The Honey Shop, Kathleen was employed as a health care administrator and studied art at Ducharme’s Art Studio where she met her spouse Paul. Her shop replicates her diversified interests with gifts, gourmet foods and art including photography, water colors, resin art, wood burning and custom jewelry. Kathleen is the owner/operator of The Honey Shop located at 1300 Park Avenue in Woonsocket, RI. Current member of Rhode Island State Council on the Arts (RISCA), Cape Cod Art Association, Creative Art Center, Newport Art Museum, Portsmouth Art Guild, Attleboro Arts Museum and past President of the Wickford Art Association. Cumberland Town Council (twelve years) and served as President, Cumberland Fire Commissioner, Chairperson of the State Architects, Engineers and Consultants Committee and head of Minority Business Enterprises (MBE). Currently working on Strategic Plan/Environmental Scan for Rhode Island Office of Library Information & Services. My painting began with decorative arts studying with the late Mary McLean, Norfolk, MA, Leah Lopez, NYC and Anthony Tomaselli, Providence Art Club, participating in numerous workshops and then onto private lessons with Kelly McCullough at the Providence Art Club. Our signature menu items include Venus de Milos award-winning New England Clam Chowder and Minestrone Soup, Boneless Buffalo or Asian Wings and Portuguese.
